These terms govern your use of the Madhadhu website (madhadhu.com), a Dhivehi-language news publication run by Madhadhu Media in the Maldives (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Using the site
You may read the site and share links to it for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse it: for example by trying to break into it, overload it, collect its content automatically in bulk, or use it to break the law.
2. Our content
Articles, photographs, graphics, videos and the design of the site belong to Madhadhu Media or the people who provided them, and are protected by copyright. You may quote short extracts and link to our articles with clear credit to Madhadhu. You may not republish whole articles, photographs or videos without our written permission.
3. Comments and conduct
You are responsible for the comments you post. Comments must not be unlawful, defamatory, hateful, threatening, obscene or misleading, must not contain advertising or spam, and must not infringe anyone’s rights. We may edit, refuse or remove any comment, and block anyone who breaks these rules, without notice. By posting a comment you allow us to display it on the site.
4. Third-party content and links
The site links to and displays content from other services, including TikTok, Facebook and X. That content belongs to its owners and is subject to their terms and policies; for videos from TikTok, the TikTok Terms of Service also apply. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for them.
5. News and accuracy
We work to publish accurate and timely news, but stories develop and mistakes can happen. Content on the site is for general information only and is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. If you believe something we published is wrong, please tell us so we can review and correct it.
6. Advertising
The site may carry advertisements. We are not responsible for the products, services or claims of advertisers, and your dealings with them are between you and them.
7. No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent the law allows, Madhadhu Media is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes
We may change these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
